Tim developed the Customer Message Management approach for creating more customer-centric, sales-ready Marketing, Communications and Sales Support. He has lead Customer Message Management initiatives for world-class companies such as American Express, Manpower, Caterpillar, FedEx, ADP, AmerisourceBergen, HP, Mastercard, Wells Fargo and others.
Tim is the co-author of “Customer Message Management. Increasing Marketing’s Impact on Selling” (AMA/Thomson July 2006). He has presented training seminars on the CMM approach – both online and offline – for over 1,000 companies and nearly 15,000 participants over the last 5 years.
He’s also the Director of the AMA’s Marketing and Sales Alignment Forum, which is an industry consortium that produces web seminars, internet radio broadcasts, regional conferences, newsletters, along with an online community. Prior to co-founding CMM Group, Tim was Chief Marketing Officer and VP of Strategic Services for Ventaso, a provider of sales and marketing effectiveness software and consulting services. Tim also was president and CEO of Brady Marketing Group, a 60-person Marketing Communications Services firm, specializing in B2B clients. The agency served a variety of major accounts including GE, Philips, ABB, Rockwell, Komatsu, ITW and others. Tim also has worked in corporate marketing, communications, and sales support positions for world-class technology manufacturers Rockwell Automation and GE Medical Systems. |
David Kinard, a.k.a. The Marketing Guy, holds a master’s degree in adult education, is a certified 7 Habits of Highly Effective People facilitator, and has earned the AMA’s Professional Certified Marketer credential (PCM). He has been a featured writer for Association Management and Executive Update magazines, and has been interviewed for his expert opinion by Entrepreneur, The Wall Street Journal and Advertising Age.
David started his marketing career selling classified line ads in a small community newspaper. Fifteen years later, David is now recognized as one of the leading marketing communications strategists and marketing trainers. A frequent speaker at conferences and workshops, David speaks to more than 5,000 people each year and also serves as an adjunct faculty member teaching marketing management in two Seattle-area university’s MBA programs.
David has given more than 10,000 hours in volunteer service. He served five years on the board of the American Marketing Association’s Puget Sound Chapter, including as President during a record-setting year. And he has been honored by Governor Gary Locke’s office for his contribution in developing skills standards in marketing for Washington State.
Currently, David is the director of marketing for Giant Campus, Inc., a provider of career-based technology training for youth and adults. Giant Campus is also the nation’s leading provider of technology summer camps for youth between 7 and 18. Their Cybercamps program is held at more than 35 prestigious university locations nationwide. |
